2. Purpose
These terms of use (the "Terms") set out the conditions of access to and use of Quizendo, a free online quiz service intended for entertainment and learning. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these Terms.
3. Access to the Service
- Free of charge: the Service is provided free of charge.
- Without an account (guest mode): you may play without registering. A temporary technical identity is then created to remember your progress on this device.
- With an account (optional): you may create an account (username and password) or sign in with Google to save your progress permanently and access it across several devices.
- Minimum age: the Service is reserved for people aged 15 or over. Below that age, use requires the consent of a holder of parental authority.
- Availability: the Service is provided "as is". Access may be suspended or interrupted, in particular for maintenance, development or security reasons.
4. Account and guest identity
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the activity carried out from your account.
- You undertake to provide accurate information and to open only one account per person.
- In guest mode, your game identity is kept in a session for up to one year and is automatically deleted after 180 days of inactivity, which results in the loss of any progress not linked to a registered account.
- You may delete your account at any time; the process is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Rules of use
You agree to use the Service fairly. The following are, in particular, prohibited:
- using bots, scripts or any automated means to play, distort scores or manipulate the leaderboards;
- bulk extraction or reuse of the content (questions, answers, explanations, artwork), in particular by "scraping";
- any attempt to breach the security of the Service, to circumvent technical limits or to overload the infrastructure (denial of service);
- impersonation, as well as usernames that are offensive, misleading or that infringe the rights of a third party;
- any use that is contrary to the law or to these Terms.
In the event of a breach, Click&Mortar may suspend or delete the account or access concerned, without notice or compensation.
6. Leaderboards, sharing and visibility
- Your username and scores may appear publicly on the leaderboards (daily, weekly).
- When you choose to share a result, a public image containing your username and score is generated and accessible via a link. Choose your username accordingly.
7. Intellectual property
- Quizendo, its brand, interface, artwork and quiz content (questions, answers, explanations, illustrations) are protected and remain the property of Click&Mortar or its partners.
- You are granted a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the Service strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any unauthorised reproduction or reuse is prohibited.
- Some quiz content is produced with the help of artificial-intelligence tools and undergoes editorial review; inaccuracies may nevertheless remain.
8. Content, accuracy and no warranty
Quizendo is a game intended for entertainment and learning. Despite the care taken in its preparation, the accuracy or completeness of the questions and answers is not guaranteed, and the content has no value as expertise or advice. The Service is provided "as is", without any warranty of continuous availability, freedom from errors or absence of interruption.
9. Liability
Click&Mortar is bound by an obligation of means. It cannot be held liable for indirect damage or for the loss of progress or game data, in particular in guest mode. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in particular in the event of wilful misconduct, gross negligence or infringement of mandatory consumer rights).
10. Personal data
The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may amend these Terms. The applicable version is the one in force at the time you use the Service; any material change will be indicated on this page, whose update date will be refreshed.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you are invited to contact us in order to seek an amicable solution. In accordance with applicable rules, any consumer may use, free of charge, a consumer mediator or the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.
